Whether you’re a complete beginner looking to get started the right way, a music lover who just wants to have fun making music, or a seasoned musician wishing to develop particular techniques or gain qualifications, I will help you get the most from your instrument. 

Individually-tailored lessons take place in your own home, at a time that suits you, and you can even learn guitar online with private Zoom, Skype, or Facetime lessons. I cover all contemporary styles – Rock, Pop, Blues, Metal, Funk, Jazz, Reggae, R’n’B – on acoustic, electric and bass guitars.

I can offer lessons via Zoom, Skype, or Facetime.  Ideal if you’re outside my usual area, or find it difficult to pin down a convenient time.

  • David Strand has been our 15 yr old son, Tomos’s guitar teacher, for over 2 years. Dave’s style has suited our son perfectly. Each week Dave has taught Tomos techniques of increasing difficulty through the practising and learning of songs that Tomos likes. His style is encouraging and never pushy. As a consequence of this Tomos is so fired up about the electric guitar, is doing BTEC music which he loves AND we have never had to ask him to practice.
